Steve Cortez is a co-founder and Managing Partner of TRIA Capital Partners. Formerly, Steve was a Partner at Fiduciary Network, which he co-founded in 2006. At FN, Steve managed the firm’s investment analyst team and had primary responsibility for certain of FN’s portfolio companies. In addition, Steve had transaction sourcing responsibilities in the Southeast and Midwest. Steve began his career at Strong Funds. He then served as a Director of Marketing at Undiscovered Managers, where he managed the internal wholesaling staff. He also worked extensively with wealth managers, organizing and directing the marketing of the firm’s products and services and developing new marketing and growth strategies. Steve earned a B.A. from Arkansas State University.
Yvonne Kanner is a co-founder and Managing Partner of TRIA Capital Partners. TRIA continues Yvonne’s 20 year-long history partnering with wealth management founders and leadership teams. Formerly, Yvonne was the President and COO at Fiduciary Network, which she co-founded in 2006. Yvonne was responsible for the firm’s operations, was the lead advisor for certain of FN’s portfolio companies, had transaction sourcing responsibilities on the West Coast and was a member of the Board of Managers. Previously, Yvonne was the COO of Undiscovered Managers, LLC, where she oversaw the organization’s administration, regulatory and mutual fund activities, research and intellectual capital origination, and business and financial operations. Yvonne began her career in the Latin American institutional asset management group at Merrill Lynch Capital Management Group. Yvonne is a graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Ben Robins is a co-founder and Managing Partner of TRIA Capital Partners. Previously, Ben was a Partner at Fiduciary Network, which he originally joined in 2007. At FN, Ben managed the firm’s relationship with certain of its portfolio companies and had transaction sourcing responsibilities in the Northeast. Ben started his career as an attorney at Ropes & Gray in Boston, where he focused on private equity mergers and acquisitions, venture financings and various other corporate transactional matters. Ben graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University and received his law degree from NYU, where he was an associate editor of the New York University Law Review.
