TRIA Capital Partners aims to be the financing partner of choice for industry-leading RIAs who are seeking outside capital but want to remain independent.
TRIA believes that RIAs should be majority-owned and controlled by their employees; consequently, we seek minority / non-control transactions only. In a partnership with TRIA, you remain completely independent and in control of your business.
Capital for Growth
With $300mm in committed capital, TRIA can be a reliable long-term source of financing. Whether you need capital for M&A opportunities, for shareholder liquidity in connection with succession planning or for other strategic opportunities, TRIA can address all your ongoing financing needs.
Short-dated capital solutions are fundamentally misaligned with the RIA business model. TRIA can agree to hold periods well in excess of market norms, which aligns our interests for the long-run. At the same time, in a partnership with TRIA, you don’t give up your optionality – you retain control of any decision to sell the entire firm in the future.
WEALTH MANAGEMENT EXPERTISE
TRIA’s management team members have been long-time wealth management industry participants. In a transaction with TRIA, you get a partner who understands where you have been, where you are today and, most importantly, a partner who can offer strategic guidance in support of where you are headed.
Full-Service M&A Support
With a proven track-record in assisting RIAs with sub-acquisitions, we can provide full-service M&A support through every stage of the transaction process. We can assist with sourcing opportunities that fit our partner firms’ preferences, performing due diligence, negotiating terms (including valuation, purchase price structure, risk sharing provisions, employment arrangements and other key terms), structuring debt and equity financing arrangements and executing post-closing integration strategies.
Our co-founders have 50+ years of combined experience in wealth management and expertise across a wide range of the most mission-critical issues. We understand the challenges and opportunities facing industry-leading RIAs today, including managing growth, institutionalizing professional development, initiating sophisticated marketing strategies, providing a fully comprehensive suite of client service offerings, and continuously implementing innovative technology solutions for both your advisors and clients.
