Born and raised in eastern Oklahoma, Patrick spent his summers going to the lake almost every day. Continuing a family tradition, he moved to Kansas for college. After graduating from Harvard Law, Patrick joined the private equity M&A group at Vinson & Elkins LLP in Dallas. In 2015, he joined the future TRIA founders at Fiduciary Network as Assistant General Counsel. Following six years at Trive Capital, a Dallas-based private equity fund, Patrick reunited with the TRIA team in 2025.
As General Counsel, Patrick serves as principal legal advisor to the firm, providing strategic guidance on legal and business issues for TRIA and its partner firms. His focus includes M&A, corporate governance and overall risk management.
